Golden Chapter Foundation app for iPhone and iPad

The Golden Chapter Foundation (GCF) was set up in February 2018 with the vision to help older people from all walks of life connect, engage and live fulfilled lives. This vision has to a large extent been pursued in the last two (2) years by providing physical spaces for the elderly to meet, interact and engage in educational, healthy and fun activities.
To further augment engagement among the elderly beyond physical spaces as well as reach and impact a wider audience of older people both in Ghana and abroad beyond the current membership of GCF through a virtual platform, the proposed mobile application will be fully dedicated to providing information and other relevant services to seniors and people interested in older people such as their caregivers.
Content on the GCF App would include video, text and audio on educational, entertaining and informative material concerning the physical, mental and emotional health of older people. It will also provide an opportunity for seniors to view and know the people logged in on the App at any point in time. This will enable them to draw the attention of their colleagues to interesting posts as well as engender discussions on the App.
The App will be designed to be simple and user friendly, taking into account the limited technological capabilities of most older people and will provide a one stop shop for seniors to access useful information on the internet.
